The requirement to reduce internal or external plant noise in operation that might disturb occupants or neighbours, needs to be considered.
Suggested actions
Before Implementation
Consideration given at design stage as to the degree of noise plant generates and how the siting and enclosure of machinery may mitigate any disturbance caused by this noise. In areas of dense population, or limited design options for siting of machinery, consider using alternative less noisy plant.
