Concern & action: Detail retains character?
Where a particular feature is changed or covered (e.g. window, radiator type, ceiling), does the new detail preserve or enhance the original character of the building?
Suggested actions
Before Implementation
Research original building design and features and record any discrepancies with currently existing features. For any building elements that are new, specially if building is listed or in conservation area, design them to match the character of the original features (e.g. windows retaining original operation, frame design and glass pane division). Closer match would be needed for listed buildings (e.g. glass type)
